Police officials from Kaneshie Municipality shot dead an armed thief in Awudome cemetery.
The thief allegedly stabbed and robbed a passerby by stealing this phone and cash 250 cedis.
A police report of the incident shows the victim running to the nearby police station for help, but there was no sign of it after police combed the bushes nearby.
The thieves strategized and ambushed until they resurfaced from the graveyard in an attempt to steal another target.
“One of the thieves who is believed to be around 20 years old was shot, but the other managed to escape. He was rushed to the police hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead. Body deposited in the morgue for identification and autopsy, ”police revealed.

The parents of Takoradi’s four daughters who were kidnapped and then murdered according to a police report have spoken out after a brutal conviction was passed against the perpetrators at the Sekondi Supreme Court.
