Teenager who stole friend’s ‘Sakawa’ ring asked to sacrifice baby before ring was removed

A young man who lives in Iron City in Kasoa, Central Region, is at risk of having his index finger cut off after a ring gets stuck on it.

Recounting the incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Nana Yaw Asare of Rainbow Radio said the young man stole the ring from another friend.

But unknown to him [the victim], the ring was for spiritual purposes and should not come in contact with water.

All efforts to remove the ring were in vain as half of the ring was cut off and the remaining half got stuck in the victim’s index finger.

When contacted, the owner of the ring said he had gone to get the ring from a spiritualist and was told not to let the water touch the ring as this could have consequences .

He revealed that the only way to remove the ring is to sacrifice a baby.

Some pastors and other spiritualists tried to remove the ring but failed.
