Thomas Tuchel insists Timo Werner has no cause for frustration at Chelsea, dismissing claims the Blues forward could return to Germany this summer.
Werner has only scored two goals in his last 26 appearances for Chelsea, with the £ 53million rookie struggling to finish.
But Chelsea boss Tuchel has told the 25-year-old to stop worrying and “just focus on the process” of rediscovering his touch-in-goal.
Asked about the veracity of the rumors that Werner is unhappy in West London, Tuchel replied, “Stop reading! Read a book!

“There is no book on Timo, so read a book!” For Timo, I don’t think he has any reason to be frustrated anymore because he played an incredible game against Liverpool, maybe his best game since I arrived.
“Then he had a good game against Everton with a lot of scoring chances, which he is normally quite clinical and quite strong.
“He didn’t score, okay, in a situation like this it can affect his self-confidence of course, but what does it help?”
“The clear advice from us is not to focus on the result, to focus on the process, to make your decisions well, to have good technique, to make good decisions and the ball and the goalkeeper. of the opponent will do the rest.
“And then it’s either in or it’s an incredible save.

“He can improve from there, but there just isn’t time to think about what’s going to happen this summer and next year. There is no time.
“At the moment, I don’t see why he should be frustrated. We gave him some time to breathe against Leeds.
“But at the moment, I don’t see why he should be too frustrated.
“And honestly, no one here is blaming the strikers. It’s a team effort to attack and defend, but we expect our guys to create more chances, to be more decisive because we expect defenders to play at the highest level and we expect so also that of our attackers.
“And then maybe everything you read will disappear.”
Chelsea will host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final second leg on Wednesday 16, holding a 1-0 advantage from the opening clash.
Mason Mount and Jorginho will miss a suspension, with Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham still not quite ready to return after injury.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been excluded from the last Spanish team, having slipped behind Edouard Mendy in the pecking order of Chelsea goalkeepers.
Tuchel has revealed his sympathy for Kepa, but admitted the former Bilbao star can only keep pushing hard to get back into Chelsea’s starting XI.
“For him I’m pretty sure it’s a disappointment not to be selected at the moment,” Tuchel said.
“It’s clear, but like I said before he’s super strong here, he’s our player and that doesn’t influence how we work with him, how we trust him and how we keep moving forward. .

“It’s also personal for him to be in the Spain team. Would it be easier if he played regularly? Clearly, yes. But it’s not about that personal goal, but about Chelsea.
“And we said it directly between our goalkeepers that Edou is number one. So he’s a contender for that and he just has to be prepared and I can just say he’s doing just that.
“He’s 100% reliable, a top guy, top goalies, top performance in training, with Willy Caballero and that’s exceptional.
“Can we influence the decision of the Spanish national coach? No, we can’t.
“So all he can do is be focused and ready and that’s what he does and that’s why I’m happy.”
