Well, 12-year-old prodigy Alena recently warmed the hearts of many after graduating from high school with the dream of becoming an engineer and driving space rovers, working for NASA.
TUKO.co.ke has learned that Alena has just graduated from high school and is currently looking forward to her undergraduate career at Arizona State University, where she intends to major in astronomical and planetary sciences and chemistry.

Speaking about her major achievement in a recent interview with 11Alive, Alena said she had always been intentional in her studies from a young age.
That’s not all, the prodigy went on to reveal that she really had a dream of becoming an engineer working for NASA’s elite.
“I just wanted to achieve a goal. I have always dreamed of being an engineer at NASA because throughout my life I have loved the building. Said Alena.
During her interview, Alena revealed that she was not only very interested in building space rovers similar to the one sent on the Mars Perseverance Mission, but that she also plans to drive them as well.
According to the young researcher, she will have finished her studies at 16 and will work with NASA.
“I’ll be driving in one of these future space rovers by the time I graduate from college. I plan everything as I go. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you plan to do. Go ahead, dream, then accomplish it. Alena added.

Daphne says she fully supports her daughter and hopes she fulfills her dream of changing the world through STEM at such a young age.
“She just had a knack for numbers, Lego and science, so I started nurturing that gift,” the mother told 11Alive.
According to the mom, her daughter expressed interest in working for NASA when she was just four years old.
It was then that she knew her child was gifted.
