Sergio Aguero ‘open’ to successful Premier League move amid Man City uncertainty

Sergio Aguero is said to be open to a sensational move to another side in England at the end of the season as his Manchester City contract nears its expiration date.

The 32-year-old forward has suffered a frustrating campaign at the Etihad which has been marred with injuries and problems off the field.

And he’s only managed four Premier League starts this season, with just one goal under his belt in the division.

Aguero appeared angry at the end of City’s Champions League win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday, and was heard complaining to a staff member that his teammates “are not passing the ball to me”.

It seems almost certain that he will leave when his contract ends in June, and Barcelona are the team most closely linked to his signing.

But according to The Sun, Aguero would strongly consider any offers from other Premier League clubs.

The player is believed to have always enjoyed playing his craft at the highest level in England and feels he still has business hanging over after this year’s disappointment.

Due to his affiliation with City, Manchester United and Liverpool could almost certainly be excluded from the race for his signing.

But it would be intriguing to see if Chelsea, Tottenham or Arsenal might be tempted to make a move, and they may think Aguero represents good value given that they wouldn’t have to pay a transfer fee for his services.

There is also still a chance that City could make a late bid to keep Aguero for at least one more season, and Pep Guardiola recently admitted it would be difficult to see him go.

“Sergio is a legend here,” he said in an interview with BeIN Sport. “He’s a lovely person and what he’s done here is amazing and we’ll decide what’s best for both parties.”
