WWE has announced the hosts for Wrestlemania 37, which will take place next month. On the eve of the last Smackdown before Fastlane, WWE announced that Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil will host this year’s flagship event. Hogan, a WWE Hall of Famer, does not need to be introduced when it comes to Wrestlemania.
Probably the greatest superstar of the ’80s and’ 90s, Hogan played a key role in the success of Wrestlemania and starred in the show on numerous occasions. The video of him slamming Andre the Giant in front of 93,173 fans is shown at the start of every WWE TV show.
Interestingly, he’ll also be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, again, ahead of Wrestlemania. This time around, Hogan will be joined by his nWo companions – Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac. nWo has been a primary reason for WCW’s success and dominance over WWE for over a year.
O’Neil is another major WWE Superstar. He is only one team champion. The latest update sort of confirms that Hogan will be launching the show.
Wrestlemania 37 will last two days and take place April 10-11 at Raymond James Stadium. The event will also see fans return to a WWE show for the first time since March 2020. WWE has conducted its weekly shows and pay-per-view events without any audiences at the Thunderdome. The WWE Universe is allowed to virtually attend the shows.
WWE has already confirmed two Main Event matches. Universal Champion Roman Reigns will defend his title against Edge, who won the 2021 Royal Rumble. The second Main Event match will be between WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. The Roman-Edge match is scheduled to take place on the second night.
