The new minister of the northern region, Sani Alhassan Abdul Shaibu, called on the inhabitants of Dagbon to maintain peace in the region to ensure full development.
Speaking at Gbewa Palace when he called on the King of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Abubakri II, to introduce himself as the new regional minister, he said the development of the region will only be possible if peace is maintained .
Mr. Shaibu asked for the king’s blessing, adding that he will need all the support he can get from traditional leaders and the people to run the affairs of the region.
He congratulated the King of Dagbon on the peace the region has enjoyed since he was bewitched 2 years ago, and pledged his commitment to support the cause to keep the peace.
He assured Yaa Naa that his doors would be opened on the palace, adding that he would be available at all times for consultations to ensure the development of the region.
The Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Abukari II, congratulated the Minister on his appointment. He said Mr. Shaibu’s appointment was excellent as he has what it takes to run the affairs of the region.
The Yaa-Naa blessed the Minister and assured him of his utmost support to ensure the development of the region and urged him to remain focused, patient and fair to all.
