But he and two other Aliu Bello and Suleman Mohammed were stopped by airport police before they could enter the main building. The others fled the scene when the police arrived.

Fadel reportedly explained that he took this step because he had been denied access to his father since returning from the UK.

Even though Fadel was told that his father did not want to see him, he believes it was only an excuse from his stepmother, Edwina Baaba Banda, to prevent him from seeing his father.

According to the report, Fadel claims to have reliable information that his father is ill and that his stepmother was doing everything to prevent the family from seeing Alhaji Banda.

DSP Afia Tenge, the regional police of Greater Accra PRO would have confirmed the incident and the arrest of Fadel and his accomplices.

The incident comes just months after Alhaji Banda’s wife, Edwina Banda, turned 60.
