A 40-day commemoration was held for the former CEO and Founder of Network Broadcasting Company Limited, Radio Gold, Montie FM and TV Gold operators Sainti Kwasi Baffoe-Bonnie.

The event took place in Accra on Saturday March 20, 2021 and brought together family members, friends, supporters and several political bigwigs, including former President John Dramani Mahama and his wife Lordina.

Mr. Baffoe-Bonnie died on Monday February 1, 2021 from a short illness.

The cause of his unfortunate disappearance has not been revealed, but media have reported that he succumbed to the deadly COVID-19 virus.

The late media personality had the privilege of working under the orders of the late President John Mills and Mr. Mahama at the seat of government from 2009 to 20216.

He was appointed senior political advisor to the vice-president and then to Mr. Mahama between 2009-2012 by then-president Mills.

He was later appointed to the presidential staff and subsequently promoted to senior political adviser by President Mahama.

Prior to entering government, Mr. Baffoe-Bonnie, aka Baboo, was considered one of the country’s leading media figures.

The 70-year-old man left behind a wife and three children.
