Bernard Allotey Jacobs described the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the “den of demons” after his expulsion from the party.

“This deportation letter is pointless and baseless. It has no purpose. The NDC is full of confusion. I don’t believe in personality cult. A lot more people will come out like me. If you’re in this party. , you are in the devil’s den, ”he told Starr News’ Naa Dedei Tettey on Tuesday.

He also accused party leaders of covering up their inefficiencies in the 2020 polls by punishing members who speak out.

I don’t know if they are brainless or not when someone has already come to say that I no longer belong to this party, why are you making this statement. I don’t owe them a pesewa and they can report to the police that they have their business with me. Their statement is visionless and brainless ”.

The NDC in a statement announced the expulsion of Mr. Jacobs following a recommendation from his Functional Executive Committee.

“At our meeting on Wednesday March 17, the Functional Executive Committee of the NDC considered the report and recommendations of the Disciplinary Committee on the matter or misconduct and anti-party behavior of which you are the object, Mr. Allotey Jacobs, in accordance with Article 48 (1) (b) and 8 (b) of the NDC Constitution. The Committee’s report, attached to your attention, found you guilty of allegations of misconduct, anti-party behavior and recommended, among other things, your immediate expulsion from the party, ”the party said.

He added: “The functional Executive Committee acting in accordance with Article 48 (1) of the NDC Constitution unanimously adopted the report and fully accepts its recommendation for your expulsion from the party.

“You are therefore by decision of the FEC been expelled from the National Democratic Congress and moreover no longer recognized as a member of the party and can not stand as such. By this letter and in accordance with Article 48 (10), you are requested to return all party property that may be in your custody and to waive any money, membership dues or membership fees paid to the party ”.
