Being a “barracks girl”, Sophia had the chance to discover many places in Ghana as she was born to two policemen.
Due to the frequent transfers that came with her parents’ work, Sophia and her eight other siblings changed schools very often, but did not lose any friends as her family was very tight-knit.

With the civil servant’s combined salary, his parents prioritized the education (of the children) and also took the time to visit the zoo with them to keep the family bond strong, the enjoyment of the house and instill in them the spirit of hard work and discipline.
Like any other young strategist, Sophia had planned her life before completing her degree program at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and began serving her national service with the Ghanaian Times.
She was forced to offer a second national service to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) due to the civil service job freeze after her service with the Ghanaian Times.
Comparing her time as a journalist to the present day, she said: “The advantage of young people now is the proliferation of the Internet and research technology.
This means that the stories shouldn’t be full of “she says and he says”, but the news should be corroborated and enriched, but I don’t see that now. “
She also advised the new generation of journalists to hold people in positions of authority highly and be aware of the kinds of statements made against them.
The leader in her own right advised the youth not to earn any money, as she believes that everything is going smoothly according to God’s plan.
She, however, advised young people to chase away the first paper (educational certificates) and the second paper (money) would pursue them.
According to his authority, one of the various ways in which young people can excel at their work is to love and value themselves and others.
“Learn to respect yourself and especially to respect others. In this world, know that people matter. It is only humility that can lead someone to respect others. Know yourself enough to be yourself, ”she added.
