Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the interior of its all-new all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQS model, which is scheduled to launch in the European market in August.
We have to admit that the design is truly revolutionary. The interior of the EQS almost resembles that of a concept car. It is a combination of high-tech, futuristic and luxurious elements, wrapped in simple and clean lines.
The main thing that catches the eye is the display-rich dashboard. There will actually be two versions of the dashboard. The former will be similar to the S-Class with a 12.3 “dash display and a 12.8” center touchscreen.
For those who will want to spend more, Mercedes-Benz has this large three-dimensional curved display, which actually consists of three screens under one glass – 12.3-inch driver display (dashboard), MBUX 17 infotainment touchscreen. , 7-inch hyperscreen (OLED) and 12.3-inch passenger touchscreen on the right (also OLED).
“The MBUX Hyperscreen is the absolute highlight inside. This large, curved screen unit almost sweeps from A-pillar to A-pillar. Three screens are placed under a common glued cover glass and visually merge into one screen. -Layerless design, the MBUX Hyperscreen offers intuitive touch operation with haptic feedback and force feedback.
Compare the two versions side by side:
With all the real estate on display, Mercedes-Benz has placed a notable number of buttons yet. Some of them, like on the steering wheel, are capacitive.
There are several options for changing the ambient lights and the whole system goes into dark mode at night, reminding us of a spaceship. On top of that, Mercedes-Benz adds a HUD screen.
Among other things, we can note a wide ventilation line above the screen. There is a HEPA filter. The center console seems spacious and practical.
There will be two seating options (comfort and sport) and a very good sound system and a special program to make you feel like you are in a peaceful place: Forest Glade, Sounds of the Sea and Summer Rain.
Overview of the new ENERGIZING NATURE programs:
- Forest Glade: can help escape the noisy daily routine and increase focus. The song of birds, the rustling of leaves and a gentle breeze create an atmosphere of well-being. The program is complemented by soundscapes of warm music and subtle scents.
- Sounds of the sea: can have a positive and relaxing effect through the combination of soundscapes of soft music, sounds of waves and sounds of seagulls. Heats and cools at the same time with the slow calming rhythm of the ocean waves combined with the breaths of air from the air conditioning system.
- Summer Rain: Can act as an acoustic oasis in loud traffic, refreshing and soothing with sounds of raindrops over leafy canopies, distant thunder, crackling rain, and ambient music soundscapes.
