Yesterday, during a surprise visit, the prince of the kingdom of Kalabari was overwhelmed by the great show of love that greeted him upon his arrival in the ancestral town of Buguma, in Rivers State to revalidate his membership at the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Word of his presence quickly spread and soon the streets were filled with a mass of people escaping from side streets, houses and tall buildings. Orderly, enthusiastic and ordinary, they followed him from the revalidation office to the palace and then to other enclosures in this well-planned city, to make a few visits. One visit was to an elderly lady who had recently been bedridden. All the while, during all this, the crowd, now even more numerous, sang and chanted following.

On the revalidation site, after his registration, he was asked about the state of the party. In his response, he expressed a great deal of relief at the possibilities ahead.

“Our dear party in the State has gone through difficult times in recent years, but I am grateful for the recent victory in the Supreme Court and the opportunity to heal our wounds, strengthen our ties and move forward as unifying force for good governance. and social transformation.

I thank all those who stood by our side and renewed their membership; you are the real money changers of the world. To anyone who has not yet revalidated or newly registered with the CPA, I urge you to do so quickly now. Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come. Together we will make a change. “

On recent comments from Magnus Abe, he said it was not news. “When Amaechi made comments that favored him, he was silent. I agree that the leader cannot act alone by making such important statements. But he does not act alone. He consulted, felt the pulse of the people, and took a stand. Magnus hasn’t been with Amaechi in a while, so maybe he doesn’t know. You have to excuse him.

He agreed, however, that no area or people can do it without the others. “Magnus is right on this front. While I am grateful to the leader for recognizing the reality, we know we have to work harder to make it a result. That means enough of paying lawyers and troublemakers and more of touching people. All sides are suffering. The partisans die. This should be our goal. “

As to whether he would run in the next election, he stressed that it was ambition that gave us the last problem. So he wouldn’t make the same mistake. “Anyone who loves the party and Rivers State will put politics aside. It is far too early. “
