Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai said he didn’t think the bandits deserved to live.

The governor said that any bandit operating in his state “would probably end up dying”.

El-Rufai said this Sunday during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television show.

He revealed that Kaduna State had become a target for bandits because it refused to negotiate with them.

He said: “I think the bandits and their leaders have decided to collectively target Kaduna State because of the position we have taken not to negotiate with them, not to give them a dime of the money. taxpayers.

“The first thing to do is to eliminate these bandits.

“Anyone who comes to Kaduna for the purpose of banditry or kidnapping is likely to die eventually.”

He reiterated that the solution to the banditry was to step up military operations in the affected state, including Kaduna.

“We believe that the solution to this problem of banditry is to step up military operations from the air or from the ground and eliminate them all.

“The Nigerian army and security agencies, in the immediate future, must acquire advanced weapons to combat insecurity.

“We don’t think a bandit deserves to live,” El-rufai added.
