Family, friends and fans of the rapper DMX prayed for the star during a vigil outside the hospital where he is being treated after suffering a heart attack.
A crowd gathered outside New York’s White Plains Hospital to show their support for the rapper, real name Earl Simmons, on Monday night.
The 50-year-old was admitted to intensive care on Friday and was initially placed in intensive care, according to US media reports.

Reports have varied as to whether the rapper is still on life support, as well as the nature of his health issues. The star’s attorney, Murray Richman, said he suffered a heart attack, but was unsure of the cause.
