Lawyer Andrew Vortia, on appeal, is asking the courts to say they fined Akuapem Poloo instead of a custodial sentence.

One of the reasons he is positive about the appeal, Vortia said, is to gain support from some state officials who feel the sentence is severe.

The first judge must uphold the circuit court’s decision, which means Poloo will serve a 90-day prison sentence.

The second result is to say that the court agrees and the petitioner’s lawyer, Akuapem Poloo denies a lighter sentence such as a fine or a warning.

First, they believe they are saying that she is the first offender after she pleads guilty to publishing nude photos, not to a severe sentence.
