The League of Biafra Nations, BNL, warned on Thursday that Nigeria was sitting on a time bomb.

BNL issued the warning following the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.

Debuta Takon’s warning was contained in a statement to DAILY POST, BNL deputy national chief and BBs Media chief operating officer.

He also called on the federal government headed by President Muhammadu Buhari to explain to residents of the South East and South South why the activities of unknown gunmen ceased, shortly before Kanu’s re-arrest.

Takon accused the Nigerian government of sponsoring most gunmen’s operations in others to have evidence to convince some countries that violate international law to believe Kanu was sponsoring terrorism.

According to Takon: “Nigeria is already sitting on a time bomb and it will explode soon.”

BNL said the government was hunting flies instead of wolves, adding that there are “two main terrorist leaders currently operating in Nigerian territory who are Boko Haram and ISWAP, but the government has refused to track them down.

He added: “They’re stalking people, they’re stomping on people, they’ve gone overseas to stalk Kanu with the help of another African terrorist government, but why can’t they stalk Boko Haram commanders? and ISWAP?

“We who are visible are their problem, the Biafrians are not terrorists, they know us and know how to get hold of us because we are not hiding, if we did not fight a just cause we would have been faceless like Boko Haram and leaders of ISWAP but we have a real cause, we are visible and we are not afraid ”.

BNL said the federal government is inviting issues it cannot handle, insisting other issues will befall the nation soon.
