Morgan unveiled the Eva GT at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. And the good news is, it’s a bit odd. It may be a matter of personal taste and there is always the possibility that some elements of the design will fail in production, but to us it has the appearance of a car that is close to being the finished item. What sets the Eva GT apart is not just the lack of running boards, but the four-seater layout. This isn’t a first for Morgan of course, but given the coupe’s body style, we expect the Eva GT to follow in the footsteps of the TVR Cerbera and Aston Martin DB9 and provide space. for the rear legs limited.
As part of an ongoing partnership with BMW, Morgan was given access to the 3.0-liter, 302bhp twin-turbo inline-six, mated to six-speed manual or automatic gearboxes. With an expected weight of 1250kg, the torque-rich engine is expected to endow the Eva GT with a 0-60mph of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 170mph.
Perhaps more interestingly, Morgan expects a combined fuel economy of over 40 mpg, with CO2 emissions kept below 200 g / km and compliance with Euro VI regulations.
