NDC Communicators Conclude 3 Day Workshop in Ho

Communicators from the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), concluded a 3-day workshop in the Volta regional capital Ho on Sunday (July 4th).

The workshop which was on the theme; “Targeted Communication for Victory 2024 was aimed at evaluating the party’s communications strategy and programs, as well as training and equipping party communicators with the skills and information needed for the task ahead.

The program was opened by former party president and flag bearer His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who was accompanied by his running mate in the 2020 presidential elections, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

Other speakers at the workshop included party secretary general the Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Dr William Ahadzie of the NDC Party School, the Chief Electoral Officer, the Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and key members of the party’s national communications team such as Comrade Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Comrade James Agyenim Boateng, Comrade Felix Ofosu Kwakye and a host of other technical resource people.

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF A THREE (3) DAY WORKSHOP IN COMMUNICATION BY THE NATIONAL COMMUNICATION OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS.

Sunday July 4, 2021.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Communications Office hosted a three (3) day workshop for all regional communications officers, deputy regional communications officers, social media team leadership and members of the the national party communication team over the weekend in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region.

The workshop which was on the theme; “Targeted Communication for Victory 2024 was aimed at evaluating the party’s communications strategy and programs, as well as training and equipping party communicators with the skills and information needed for the task ahead.

The program was graciously opened by former party president and flag bearer His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who was accompanied by his running mate in the 2020 presidential elections, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

Other speakers at the workshop included the Party’s General Secretary, the Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Dr William Ahadzie of the NDC Party School, the Chief Electoral Officer, the Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and key members of the party’s national communications team such as Comrade Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Comrade James Agyenim Boateng, Comrade Felix Ofosu Kwakye and a host of other technical resource people.

Also present were some selected Members of Parliament such as the Hon. Alhaji ABA Fuseini, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Hon. Ato Forson, Hon. Kofi Armah Buah, Hon. Kwame Agbozah, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye and other members of the NDC parliamentary group who shared very important information about their respective sectors with the team.

The program served as a platform for party communicators and communication officers to vigorously discuss their experiences, challenges and recommendations, with the aim of finding practical solutions to fine-tune the party’s communication mechanism.

All the participants left the workshop updated, enhanced, fully equipped and inspired for the task ahead and with the determination to work hard with a common goal for the victory of the NDC in the next general election in 2024.
