Mohanlal has reunited with Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph for a new project, 12th Man. Speaking to social media, the superstar announced the film but did not disclose too many details about the mystery thriller.
Posting the first preview of the film, Mohanlal wrote: “Happy to announce my upcoming film ’12th MAN’ starring #JeethuJoseph, produced by @antonypbvr under the @aashirvadcine banner.” In the poster, the actor is seen standing in front of a huge mansion in the middle of a field. The image has a weird and mysterious feel, which suits the gripping drama well.

Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph first collaborated in 2013 for Drishyam, then its sequel, released earlier this year. They are also currently working on another project called Ram. According to reports, 12th Man will only go upstairs after Ram’s completion.
Besides these interesting projects, Mohanlal also has Bro Daddy, a movie starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the works. It will star Meena, Prithviraj, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Lalu Alex, Murali Gopy, Kaniha and Soubin Shahir. The Malayalam star also recently announced the release date of his highly anticipated Marakkar: Arabhikadalinte Simham. The film will be released on August 12 on the occasion of Onam.
Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham was due out on March 26, 2020, just days before the national lockdown went into effect due to the coronavirus. “I was lucky. Imagine, if I had released the film and the lockdown had been imposed a week after that, it would have been a disaster. Thank God that did not happen,” Director Priyadarshan told indianexpress.com earlier.
