After leading Army of the dead For Netflix, Zack Snyder returns to the streamer for his next film as he became a director Rebel moon, sources confirmed to Deadline. Synder will also co-author the photo with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. Johnstad also co-wrote a story with Snyder.
Deborah Snyder, Wesley Coller and Zack Snyder will produce for The Stone Quarry with Eric Newman for Grand Electric. Sarah Bowen will produce for Grand Electric.
The story takes place in a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy which finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they send a young woman with a mysterious past to search for warriors from neighboring planets to help them take position.
Production is expected to start in the course of 2022.
