Fire at TB Joshua’s church

A fire ravaged parts of the Church of All Nations (SCOAN) synagogue complex in the Ikotun area of ​​Lagos state on Monday evening.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. after the candlelight procession held in honor of TB Joshua, the late founder of the church who died on June 5 at the age of 57.

Evelyn, the wife of the deceased, led thousands of church members in the candlelight procession at The SCOAN resort in Ikotun.

The event is the first on the list of special programs held in honor of Joshua.

After the candlelight procession, a fire broke out in the store at the church complex.

According to a statement released by the church leadership, the fire occurred following a power outage.

He noted that no one was injured.

“Late in the evening of Monday, July 5, 2021, a minor electrical fire occurred in a warehouse at the Synagogue complex, Church of All Nations (SCOAN). The incident was quickly brought under control without any injuries, ”the statement said.

The statement added, “In preparation for the week-long services celebrating the life and legacy of Prophet TB Joshua, The SCOAN worked closely with relevant government agencies, including the fire departments. of Lagos State, whose members were on the ground at the time of the incident.

“We thank God for his continued protection. We assure the general public that there is no cause for alarm and that services celebrating the life and legacy of Prophet TB Joshua will continue as planned.

The late founder of the synagogue will be buried on Friday at the church premises.
