Lynne Spears has asked the LA County Superior Court to allow her daughter to choose her own lawyer in a case filed Tuesday and dated last Thursday, five days before Britney Spears’ attorney Samuel Ingham resigned.
Ingham was appointed to represent Britney Spears in early 2008 after a California judge ruled she was unable to retain her own lawyer.
Now the singer’s mother argues that her daughter should be able to choose a personal lawyer because she has shown that she can take care of herself, noting that she has performed hundreds of times while it was under a “single” supervision imposed by the court.
