“The ones you promised to develop infrastructure have either what your predecessor started, or abandoned by you, or have seen no infrastructure at all. Perhaps the best thing about your government is how much your family members and buddies are feeding off the national pot to the chagrin of all of us, ”some parts of the petition read.
According to Mr. Opare, this has led to a loss of hope among the young people of the government of the day, as it has failed to build a just society.
“The very people you promised to protect are those who are beaten and / or killed daily by thugs recruited into our security services, those to whom you have promised jobs have been fired, lost their investments or have failed. not used at all. You have failed to build a just society. Today, more than ever in the history of our state building, access to rare opportunities is based solely on possession of an NPP party card.
“The case of students, nurses, teachers, tailors, carpenters, Okada horsemen, trotro drivers, doctors, masons, lawyers, traders, civil servants, farmers, up to the last man of the street, was agony, pain and sorrow. Meanwhile, the Democratic National Congress pleaded with the government to undertake structural economic reforms that will provide decent jobs for the teeming youth and support the country’s young entrepreneurs.

On Tuesday July 6, the youth wing of the NDC took to the streets of Accra to express its displeasure at the “increasing levels of insecurity, anarchy and impunity under the Akufo-Addo / Bawumia government” and also demand social justice for the unemployed youth in the country.
Protesters marched from Accra Mall to submit their petitions to the President’s office at Jubilee House and President Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin in Parliament.
