It’s either you are with us or not – IPOB tells Igbo political leaders

The indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, have vowed to declare war on all politicians and traditional leaders from the South East if their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, remains in jail.

IPOB has warned that Igbo politicians and traditional leaders will never have peace until Kanu is freed.

Emma Powerful, spokesperson for the group, issued the warning while berating leaders in the South East for their silence in the face of Kanu’s current hardship.

Powerful wondered why the leaders of the Southeast would not show solidarity with Kanu as the leaders of the North would with the bandits and terrorists.

In a statement signed by Powerful, the separatist group pledged to declare leaders in the Southeast who do not identify with Kanu as enemies.

The statement reads: “Throughout the IPOB has been peaceful as our members are kidnapped and killed by security guards. Now they have kidnapped our leader and these so called Biafran leaders keep their lips sealed. It is either that they stand with the people or that they are counted among our enemies.

“Our leader cannot languish in detention while these people pretend everything is fine. Their northern counterparts shamelessly defend the bandits and Fulani terrorists who are ransacking communities across the country, but these weak people cannot speak out against the injustice against their own. Enough is enough! Don’t sit on the fence anymore. Everyone must declare their position now.

“As long as our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains incarcerated in Abuja, all politicians from the constituency level to the federal level, including traditional rulers, stakeholders and religious leaders will never have peace until he goes out, unless they wake up now. “

After Kanu’s re-arrest and incarceration, the IPOB pledged to deal with all politicians of Southeast origin involved in Kanu’s current work.

The group had also said that politicians in the Southeast who fail to ensure Kanu regains freedom would be dealt with.
