Chief Edwin Clark said the Kenyan government must respond to allegations that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, has been kidnapped in the East African country.

Clark also called for a fair and decent trial for Nnamdi Kanu, adding that he has yet to understand how the head of IPOB was brought back to Nigeria by the federal government.

Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested again in Kenya, according to popular reports, although the Nigerian government has yet to make public how the separatist leader was apprehended.

“I hope the federal government will give him a fair, decent and open trial. Because, until today, I don’t understand how the federal government brought it back to Nigeria, ”the oldest statesman told BBC Pidgin.

“We remember the days of Umaru Dikko who was put in a big box and brought back to Nigeria. I don’t know how this young man (Kanu) was brought back to Nigeria.

Nnamdi was brought to justice in the Federal High Court of Justice Binta Nyako in Abuja days after his extraction and detained at the headquarters of the Department of State Services, DSS, Abuja.
