President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to comply with Covid-19 security protocols to avoid a possible third wave.
Addressing Muslims at the National Mosque during today’s Eid Al-Adha celebrations, he said the recent increase in the number of infections is cause for concern.
“As we continue to rely on the grace of God to protect our country from the ravages of the pandemic as we have done since its onset. We can only minimize, minimize its health effects and avoid a full-fledged third wave if we continue to be responsible and adhere to safety and hygiene protocols. “
With cases on the rise, he said it is safe to conclude that many Ghanaians have let their guard down in terms of adhering to security protocols and “we are starting to live our lives and conduct our business as if we are in. normal conditions, times, ”he added.
He reiterated the fact that the virus is always with us and that “until each of us receives a double dose of the vaccine, the protocols must continue to be an integral part of our daily activities”.
