The learns that the NBC show Manifesto had been canceled and would not be renewed by Netflix has caused a sea of fans calling for a fourth season, and it seems to have paid off.
Manifesto was among the most watched shows on Netflix in the United States last month, after being No.1 for a few weeks, and despite its slight drop in the charts, that hasn’t stopped fans from asking for another season of the show.
Deadline report that CNB, Netflix and those who participate in creation Manifesto are now in talks to reunite the gang to appease fans of the show and keep the good times going.
A recent success
The first two seasons of Manifesto were only added Netflix in June 2021, it will likely be some time before season three is added to the mix, but the show’s popularity has been almost instantaneous.
As is often the case, those who enjoyed the series got through the first two seasons in record time and started looking for the third and – later – the fourth season. As for the latter, it seems they are in luck now.
Initial cancellation
News emerged in June 2021 that Manifesto wouldn’t continue, not having aired season three on NBC for a long time, with season three scheduled to arrive on Netflix up to 12 months later.
That was the wave of support Netflix is keen to bring in season four, even though a deal cannot be made with NBC. This shows that the #SaveManifesto fan campaign paid dividends at the end. Creator of the show, Jeff rake, had a message for the Manifesto the fans too.
“Lots of speculation there [about the show returning]. No comment,” Rakeread tweet.
“Other than that, if the impossible happens and the dead are resurrected, it’s because of YOU.”
A sticking point
A problem between Netflix and Warner bros is how Manifesto has been distributed in the United States and internationally, as Netflix wants international rights but Warner bros have already sold the rights to Manifesto towards other outlets. Nevertheless, it is expected that an agreement will be reached.
