“We asked you to go because you are a blatant and unsuccessful failure” – Oyedepo from Winners Chapel on Pastors’ Sack (VIDEO) | Religion

Bishop David Oyedepo, president and founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel Worldwide, finally spoke about the sacking of some pastors.

Recall that a pastor named Peter Godwin alleged that he and over 40 other pastors were made redundant in Ekiti state for not generating enough income from their branches.

Another pastor called InChristed Michael also took to Facebook to claim he too is a “victim” and added that many other pastors have been made redundant in other states.

Responding, David Oyedepo said the pastors were fired because they were blatant failures that were not bearing fruit.

He said: “I heard that a guy said we asked them to go because they didn’t bring any income.

“We asked you to go because you are unsuccessful. Blatant unsuccessful failure … what to do there?

“We don’t have a failed patient here.”

As for those on social media who called on his church to be fired, he said they were all silent when he employed large-scale pastors.

“When we employed 7,000 pastors at a time, social media was dead,” Oyedepo said.

He added: “We have more employees in this organization than most states in Nigeria. No one has a dime salary and we don’t borrow, we don’t beg. Ask our bank if we are taking an overdraft.

“We are covenant people, walking in the light of the word of God, enjoying an open sky.

“We have fully delivered the first phase of over 1,000 buildings in rural churches. None of these churches can generate this fund in the next 30 years.

“No, we hunt souls. Money? Nonsense. We never ran out of it and yet we never prayed for it.”
