A group calling themselves Friends of Okatakyie Kennedy Agyapong congratulated the Assin Central Constituency MP on his latest appointment as chairman of the board of Ghana Gas Limited.
Earlier this week, the maverick businessman and billionaire was sworn in as the new chairman of the board to run the affairs of Ghana Gas by Energy Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
In a statement from Friends of Okatakyie Kennedy Agyapong Worldwide and The Authentic Platform, the group praised the lawmaker.
“We at Friends of Okatakyie Kennedy Agyapong around the world, and the Genuine Platform have been and continue to support it steadily with our prayers and support. Our instituted three-day fast and prayers ended yesterday with great news for our hero. We therefore congratulate the Hon. Ken Agyapong on his appointment as the new chairman of the board of Ghana Gas Limited, ”read a statement from the group.
Insisting that Kennedy Agyapong’s “business acumen and acumen” caught the attention of President Akufo-Addo to give him the new date, the group says it believes the Assin Central MP will do a great job at Ghana Gas.
“We firmly believe that the Hon. The Ghana Gas Limited Board of Directors, chaired by Kennedy Agyapong, will provide excellent leadership and direction for Ghana to become a major player in the global gas market, ”the statement added.

Assin Central Member of Parliament, the Honorable Okatakyie Kennedy Agyapong, has always been the vocal, maverick leader who pursues the “Ghana agenda” without fear or favor. His revelations over the years have saved the state huge sums of money for dubious figures parading the halls of power.
It is not surprising that some people, mainly elements of the opposition party, want to take him to the cleaner for his revelations on the circumstances which led to the untimely disappearance of Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, commonly known as Kaaka; member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). While the Hon. Agyapong’s revelations are valuable information to help security agencies unravel the truth, some people determined to politicize Kaaka’s death with some twisted and unproven narrative are at the throats of the venerable chairman of the parliamentary committee on the defense and interior. Through all of this antagonism, the Hon. Agyapong has stood tall and continues to serve Ghana conscientiously.
We at Friends of Okatakyie Kennedy Agyapong around the world, and the Authentic Platform have been and continue to support it steadily with our prayers and support.
