While Law and order: organized crime Still airing its first season, Ilene Chaiken discussed how the Season 1 finale would set up the second season, assuming the show was going to be renewed. While the show eventually had the chance to land a new season, another scheduled show was not so lucky. Organized crime and its predecessor Law and Order: SVU were going to be part of a new Law and order Thursday evening programming this fall with incoming series For Defense. However, For the Defense has since been canned by NBC, which means fans will have to stick with Benson, Stabler and their respective teams for now.
