Restructure this church now! An open letter to Ms. Evelyn Joshua

Dear Ms. Evelyn Joshua,

I am optimistic that God is with you in these difficult times. As I continue to wish you and your daughters the best life you can offer through Christ, I also want to use this medium to bring to your attention some issues that have almost cast a very dark shadow over the world. image of your ministry, The Synagogue, The Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

During these four years and months that I have worked in The Media Department at The SCOAN, I have observed a few anomalies that I wish you would immediately put an end to. that you take care of the administrative aspect of the ministry. Everyone has to come to terms with the fact that your husband’s death is the end of an era and the standards cannot stay the same forever. The change, even among the body of Christ, is as constant as the morning sun.

I therefore urge you, in a spirit of love and justice, to consider the following areas and ensure that the principle of universal best practice is applied:

Encourage media friendliness

Despite the late Prophet’s respect for the media, the ministry’s attitude to journalists’ inquiries is not the best. There is this secret robe which is usually associated with the response of disciples to requests. They always give the impression of hiding something. This bad toga is responsible for the many negative stories some journalists tell about the church. You need to make sure the media are engaged in everything the church does, because The SCOAN by its very nature is a worthy entity. Unfortunately, he suffered from the toxicity of silence caused by the indiscretions of some disciples. Set up a Communication department led by a seasoned media such as Mr. Ezekiel Fajenyo or Sir. Dare Adéjumo who are ardent members of the ministry. All those expatriate followers who don’t even know the location of the Guardian newspapers in Lagos should work as assistants. This is because they cannot understand Nigerian media politics any better than Nigerians.

Establish a pastoral affairs department

This department should be responsible for all spiritual and evangelical matters. The various healings and miracles associated with the late Prophet and some of his disciples should be the responsibility of this department. This is not to undermine the ability of the power of God to flow through every other person. This suggestion is purely based on the urgent need to get the affairs of the ministry in order. Sage Root Bousso should head this department. He has the blessing of the late Prophet and has demonstrated his healing gift over time. He is humble, mature and very easy going. Let him be assisted by Prophet Chris Tonge and others whom you will come to know “by their fruits”.

Foster unity among disciples

To propagate a culture of Christ-likeness among the disciples. Many of them only bear the name on paper. Their characters and attitudes are unworthy of true soldiers of Christ. Some of them collude with contractors to dupe the church while claiming to love Jesus. They should also stop opposing each other and learn to let love rule as they always preach. They always formed cliques to gang up on themselves when the Prophet was alive. I have witnessed this on several occasions. Recall Sister Bose (1)no matter how serious the mistakes she made. She has a good heart and I know you are a good mother. Most of the allegations against her may have been orchestrated by followers who dislike her. May God grant you the wisdom to handle this matter. Shadow Sister is a natural leader with a heart full of wisdom. Use his gifts to bring stability among the disciples.

Stop monetizing gossip

Empty people are always looking for ways to get rid of important people and the only way to do that is to gossip and spread some very malicious lies on their coworkers. I’ve seen a lot of this in The SCOAN. Many innocent people have been accused of crimes they never committed because the Prophet always rewarded gossip with money. It has become a thriving business. It must end immediately for the church to attract well-meaning people to its fold, not suitors. Can you imagine that someone once saw the kola nut with me and took it to show it to the Prophet?

Assert your administrative authority

You must take over the administration of the church with immediate effect. All those who speak of the norm operated by the late Prophet are those who have ulterior motives. The tide and the market come and go and so do these standards. You can delegate tasks, reshuffle departments, assign new roles to prevent conspiracy and fraud. Remember, not everyone who smiles with you there means okay. Some are smiling at the bank. If you are not decisive and firm, some people are ready to bring down this ministry.

Reaching out to the greatest body of Christ

You must align yourself with the larger body of Christ in Nigeria, regardless of any apprehensions they had about the late Prophet. You need to let troublemakers know that The SCOAN is for Christ and not a sanctuary as some people have painted it. Attend conferences organized by CAN and adopt the NFP. The Prophet played his part and left. Now it’s your turn to continue where it left off and you have to do it with a difference, with the Holy Spirit leading you.

Pray for divine guidance

Continue to seek the face of God and commit all your plans to his hands. I know you will succeed. Remember Psalm 125 verse 1: Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but which endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, now and forever.

I come in peace.
