The mother of 9-year-old Oswald who wrote a letter reminding him of the things to bring on “Our Day” admitted that among the list of items her son requested, she would certainly not honor his request for bring your iPad to school.

In what appears to be a passionate appeal to his mother to fulfill her pledge to pass her exams, Oswald urged her to keep her pledge by meeting her needs on Fridays starting with a “big Coke for Mrs. Appiah.”
“Things to Bring on Our Day,” was the title of the list written in pencil and dated July 29.
Items cleverly detailed by the nine-year-old – using diagrams – included cookies, drinks, and her teacher communicating a so-called waiver to allow her to use her iPad device in class, just to the occasion.
Oswald’s plea for the iPad came with a rationale that “Ms. Appiah said I can bring my iPad.
“Please don’t disappoint me,” he concluded the note.
Although she did not state the reasons why she did not want to honor the request to get her son’s iPad, Rita eventually agreed after what she said were multiple calls received over the phone not to disappoint his son. She said she was overwhelmed by the appeals and donations that have arrived.
“I have people calling me to sponsor ‘our day’, I have businesses that want to bring things to school to make it a day to remember for all the kids.
“I have also received donations from individuals to purchase the exact items on the list. In fact, my phone kept beeping, ”she said.
On why Oswald had to call her back with a list, she explained that her son had adopted this mode since she used to tell him that she forgot when he made certain requests.
