Professor Samuel Kobina Annim is the government statistician
The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has set August 8, 2021 for the withdrawal of all enumerators from the field and the end of data collection for the 2021 Population and Housing Census.
By August 8, the GSS will correct errors and perform spot-on quality assurance checks nationwide.
The public has been urged to expect census officials to visit their households or call to verify data collected by interviewers on the free number 0800-426-426.
So far, the Service reports that they are 99% complete in all 16 regions except the Greater Accra region with 93% complete.
Informing reporters of the progress of the exercise, government statistician Professor Samuel Kobina Annim called on citizens who have not yet been counted to take advantage of the count.
