The detained leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, thanked his supporters.
His comments were in a statement signed by his lead counsel, lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on Monday.
According to Ejiofor, they were able to see Kanu, after weeks of speculation and uncertainty.
“He’s firm and stable, minus the burden of solitary confinement and the attendant mental torture that comes with it.”
“Although the detaining authority is providing him with medical treatment, he still needs advanced medical attention, which was an important part of the relief in our application to the court.

“He specifically asked that we extend his heartfelt compliments to millions of his supporters around the world and to all the foreign governments and institutions that tirelessly follow him. The press houses are indeed not left out in this ranking.
“We are winning, but your prayers are working wonders, don’t slack off, as you continue to obey the laws,” he said.
Ejiofor has promised to give frequent updates, “now that the visit will be more regular than before”.
Kanu has been detained by the Department of State Services, DSS, since he was re-arrested and repatriated from an undisclosed African country.
