We have made adequate security arrangements for the #FixTheCountry – Police protest

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) said it has made adequate security arrangements for the highly anticipated #FixTheCountry protest.

On Wednesday August 3, 2021, the Economy Fighters League will be one of the main groups spearheading the planned event which had to be delayed for several months.

Ahead of what will be a massive protest, DSP Afia Tengey, head of public relations at the Greater Accra region police command, stressed that the security agency is ready to ensure the safety of Ghanaians who take to the streets.

“Regarding the fix for the country’s protest, I would like to state that the police have made adequate security arrangements for this march tomorrow,” said DSP Afia Tengey. TV3 in an interview.

It comes a day after new Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare had fruitful talks with the organizers of the FixTheCountry protest.

At the meeting, the organizers of the FixTheCountry protest detailed the routes of their march to the IGP and assured them that there will be strict adherence to all Covid-19 safety protocols.

Tomorrow’s protest will start at Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange passing the Farisco traffic light towards TUC-Kinbu Senior High School Road.

The protest, which will start at 8 a.m., is expected to end at Black Star Square
