Any illusion that Sasha Banks had changed her ways vanished shortly after the former champion returned to SmackDown last week. Now Banks will have to deal with the fallout from a brutal attack on SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
Banks made his surprise return to SmackDown last week, saving Belair from an attack at the hands of Zelina Vega and Carmella. Banks and Belair teamed up to take on Vega and Carmella in the night’s main event, taking the win. A brief celebration followed before Banks delivered an aptly named backstabber. The show ended as Banks continued his assault, twice locking the champion into Banks’ statement.
Belair will certainly have a lot to say after things go wrong and will almost certainly have a locked target on Banks, the woman she beat at WrestleMania to become the champion.
