Ghanaian politician Akwasi Addai Odike has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fix the country and stop hiding behind the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as an excuse.

The founder of the United Progressive Party has revealed that Akufo-Addo is having fun at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian who is instead battling the pandemic.

According to him, as commodity prices continue to rise, the president and his ministers are taking private flights and buying SUV cars for themselves.

In his interview with Okay FM, the politician said the president has no sympathy for Ghanaians and only claims to solve the coronavirus issues.

Odike said, “Nana Addo should listen, everyone is fighting the effects of COVID-19, so he should stop acting like he’s the savior. The organizational attitude of this government is bad.

“Wasn’t it during this COVID time that the president boarded a plane to get only a loan of $ 170 million? Isn’t it in this COVID that he said he had to pay his wife and put together a body to watch over the monuments? Meanwhile, his salary is GH ¢ 29,000, ”he added.

Odike continued, “Governance is about leadership, so you can say things are tough so people should side with you, but in the midst of COVID he appreciates. He has no sympathy for us.
