US Attorney Will Not Lay Charges Against Jake Paul, Says TMZ and a statement sent to The edge by Paul’s lawyers. Paul was under investigation by the FBI, which raided his home, for his involvement in an incident that took place at an Arizona mall in May 2020.

These particular legal issues began when Paul was filmed in and around a shopping mall in Scottsdale, Arizona, which was being looted following protests of police brutality sparked by the murder of George Floyd. Paul has denied participating in the looting (and was not seen doing so in the videos that circulated on social media), but has still been charged with criminal trespassing and unlawful assembly by the Scottsdale Police Department.

According to police, the charges against Paul were later dropped to allow the FBI to conduct a federal criminal investigation. In a now-deleted video, Paul said the investigation was the reason the FBI raided his home in California in August 2020. At the time, the FBI confirmed that he executed “search warrants. federal officials ”in California related to the investigation, but would not comment on what they were looking for or what had been found. Now, it seems, this investigation is over.

So far, Jake Paul himself has apparently not commented on the US prosecutor’s decision. Last week, however, he made a reference on Twitter to his leak from the FBI.

Paul’s advice said The edge that they “are pleased that the United States attorney has come to the conclusion that no criminal charges should be laid.”
