The Bad Batch season 2 release date, cast, and plot predictions

[ad_1]

The bad lot Season 1 ended on Disney +, but it’s not the last we’ll see of Clone Force 99 or Omega on the streamer. The animated series has been renewed for a second season before its two-part finale. This is a good thing because our ride with the Batch did not end on a note that seemed final. Perhaps The bad lot season 2 will conclude their story.

For 16 episodes, fans of the series have been taken adventure after adventure with this misfit team as they attempt to find their place in a rapidly evolving galaxy. The bad lot explored issues of autonomy, agency and what it means to be a soldier in a climate where an oppressive regime has taken control.

The finale confirmed the end of an era in the Star Wars universe, completing the season-long journey to answer the question of how Clone Troopers were phased out from the galaxy’s military ranks as the Empire was gaining strength.

Where will the show go next, and when can we see the second part of the Batch story? Here is what we know.

Bad Batch Season 2 Release Date

The second season of The bad lot will land on Disney + in 2022, which should come as no surprise to fans following the Star Wars platforms release schedule. The only show left on the franchise’s 2021 schedule is Boba Fett’s book, The Mandalorian spinoff series focused on the infamous bounty hunter and Fennec Shand.

A confirmed 2022 date has yet to be announced, but it would be appropriate for the series to settle for Season 2 on or around May 4, Star Wars Day as the show did when it debuted. However, The Mandalorian The Season 3 release date, so far unannounced, will likely factor into when The bad lot season 2 is broadcast in order to give enough buffer between the two shows.

Thanks to a leak, rumors are circulating about The Mandalorian back in spring 2022. If that’s true then we might see The bad lot season 2 in late summer or early fall.

Spoilers ahead for The bad lot season 1.

The cast of season 2 of Bad Batch

Despite the enormous amount of destruction that occurs in “Kamino Lost,” everyone made it out alive in the season finale. As such, we should witness the return of everyone in the bundle, including Omega as well as the young clone droid.

Here is the list of alleged actors for season 2:

  • Dee Bradley Baker as The Batch and the Regs
  • Michelle Ang as Omega
  • Rhea Perlman as Cid
  • Noshir Dalal: Vice-Admiral Rempart
  • Gwendoline Yeo as Nala Se
  • Stephen Stanton as Admiral Tarkin
  • Ben Diskin as AZI-3

Bad Batch Season 2 Plot Predictions

Considering the end of season 1, The bad lot Season 2 is likely to be a divided story once again. Although the air has cleared between Crosshair and the rest of the lot, they have parted ways as they fundamentally believe and want different things.

The group leaves to become mercenaries again while their sniper waits for the Empire to turn around and find him. Currently, they’re not on the other side of a brewing war, but they sure will be in season two.

At some point, the Lot will have to make the choice to fight with the rebels or to stay completely out of the conflict. For them, Empire is not an option because they do not agree with what the regime is doing. The tension between Crosshair and the rest of his siblings will likely return in the second season.

There is also the end-to-face scene where Nala Se was taken to an Imperial installation. Its scientific theories and cloning technology are now under the control of the Empire. Where they can go with this plot point is up in the air, but we could come back to that in Season 2.

We will keep you posted The bad lot Season 2 news as it arrives. Stay tuned to Dork Side of the Force!
