Despite previous reports of tension between the two, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton may soon be collaborating on a new Netflix documentary, sources say.
“Meghan and Kate get along very well and have been in touch more often,” a source revealed to Us Weekly Friday. “Meghan spoke to her about collaborating on a project for Netflix, a documentary that will highlight Kate’s charitable work and the huge impact she has had with her philanthropy.”
“Kate is very flattered and everything is very positive between them,” the insider added.
Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, signed a multi-year deal with Netflix last fall, with the intention of developing “documentaries, documentary series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programs.”
Their first project will focus on the Invictus Games, which give sick and injured servicemen and veterans the opportunity to participate in sporting competitions. The couple are also expected to produce a family-focused animated series about the adventures of a 12-year-old girl, tentatively titled “Pearl.”
Markle, 40, claimed in her March interview with Oprah Winfrey that the media is to blame for making up stories to fuel a fake sibling feud between her and Middleton, 39.
Middleton has also been a key player in helping their husbands, brothers William and Harry, resolve their differences, his uncle, Gary Goldsmith, has claimed.
“If anyone can bring peace to the royal family, Kate can,” he said in June. “Kate is a brilliant arbiter and peacemaker. Every bone in her body is used to make friends and do her best… She tries to mediate.
Representatives for Meghan Markle did not immediately return our request for comment.
