After eight long months, Indian Idol 12 is expected to announce its winner on August 15. To celebrate the show’s success, the creators have scheduled a 12-hour finale. From 12 p.m., the musical extravagance will see the six finalists – Pawandeep rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Nihal tauro, Sayli kamble, Mohd Danish and Shanmukhapriya captivate the audience with their performances.
Besides the ex-competitors, the “greatest final of all time” will also see several guests applaud the finalists. Shershaah actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani recently toured with the crew of Indian Idol 12 for special episodes. Popular singers Javed Ali, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Sukhvinder Singh will also grace the stage.
To boost the confidence of the contestants, southern star Vijay Deverkonda sent a video message telling them how much he appreciates Indian Idol. Additionally, Baden Achhe Lagte Hain 2’s main duo Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar will make an appearance in the final.
Earlier, speaking exclusively to indianexress.com, director Neeraj Sharma said the team were eager to make the story with Indian Idol Season 12. Stating that they still have “big plans” for the finale, he said: “If it hadn’t been for a pandemic, we would have hosted the final in a big stadium, and we are convinced it would have been a sold-out show. This season has been so loved and given that this is the last episode, we wanted to do something really special, and so the 12 hour episode was put together.
Speaking of the season, the director further shared that while it was the longest, they still thought it could have gone on for a few more months. “The high ratings also prove that audiences are still addicted to the show. This will be the last time they will see their favorites play, and we hope they really like the final episode, ”added Neeraj.
While the team has already pre-recorded pieces from the long episode, the announcement of the winner will take place live at midnight. The greatest grand finale of all time will see Jay Bhanushali co-host the show with original anchor Aditya Narayan. Current judges Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya and Sonu Kakkar will also perform in the final of Indian Idol 12.
