Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has today escaped death in an accident in which he was involved on the road to Aveyime in the Volta region.
The lawmaker and some of his colleagues are said to be back in Accra after attending the funeral of the father of North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in the region.
Reports say Mr. Dafeamekpor, who is also a member of the Parliament’s Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee, escaped unscathed despite his vehicle overturning twice.
This was after a KIA truck loaded with concrete blocks drove through its convoy and crashed into the Minister’s vehicle.
It is said, however, that Mr. Dafeamekpor is doing well, but was going to hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, no casualties have been confirmed.
