The Ghana Highway Authority has announced that vehicle traffic on the N1 and N2 highways will be disrupted from Saturday August 14 and Sunday August 15, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.

This is to allow GRIDco and its subcontractors to undertake a downgrading of conductors on their existing transmission lines that cross the N1 and N2, a statement signed and published by Mr. David A. Hammond, Managing Director in charge of administration at the Highway Authority and copied to the Ghanaian News Agency in Accra.

He indicated that sections of roads such as the Mallam junction, the Tema-Aflao road near the TT Brothers traffic light on the N1 and the Tema-Akosombo road around the Ashaiman pedestrian viaduct on the N2, will experience minimal disruption at maximum traffic during the two days. .

“Motorists / commuters are asked to follow the traffic diversion signs to be placed on the various sections of the N1 and N2,” he advised.

The statement apologized to the public for any inconvenience caused.

He also urged the public to contact the Corporate Affairs Department of GRIDco at 233 -303 318700 or the Public Affairs Division of the Ghana Highway Authority for further clarification.
