South Dayi MP Rockson Dafeamekpor was involved in a traffic accident.

Fortunately, the legislator, who is also a member of the Parliament’s Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee, escaped unscathed.

The Saturday [August 14, 2021] car accident according to Citi News Sources occurred on the Aveyime road in the Volta region as the MP and some of his colleagues were returning to Accra after attending the funeral ceremony for the father of his parliamentary colleague, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in the region.

Reports indicate that a KIA truck loaded with concrete blocks struck the MP’s vehicle, forcing the car to do two somersaults.

However, no casualties have yet been confirmed.

Ashaiman MP Ernest Norgbey, who was part of the funeral crew, spoke with Citi News about the unfortunate incident.

“We had just come from the funeral of the father of the deputy for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. We were on our way to Accra when a KIA truck loaded with blocks had just passed through the convoy. Rockson’s car tumbled twice with all four wheels raised. So we had to rush him out of the car. As we speak, he is doing well and we are on our way to the hospital for medical treatment, ”he said.
