Parents have been advised to create value systems for their children in order to ensure good morals in a world full of poor living conditions and influences.

“The world has become more slippery than ever and family responsibility for children coupled with good value systems was the surest way to save the future of these generations.”

Reverend Boamah Agyekum, founder of Emmanuel’s Community Chapel in Takoradi, told the Ghanaian news agency on Sunday.

He said that with poor clothing among young people, quick and false lives taking root, among other vices, family and religious units had the greatest responsibility to change things for the better.

Reverend Agyekum said that even secular society believes in discipline, values and corporate missions and any violation carries sanctions and wonders why homes and churches are gradually turning a blind eye to good morals and values .

He said that although the church has created the necessary presence in the country, the impact in terms of moral education appeared to be lagging behind.

“If we have truly accepted Christ … we should allow his good deeds to prevail in our societies.”

Reverend Agyekum said that just as companies believe in and respect discipline, the people who work there should translate these values into their daily work.

He explained: “Can you wear anything to the bank in the name of fashion, how about the police and the military, you dare not, so how come we wanted behave anyway as religious and for that matter as Christians … this hypocrisy and lying in the church must stop. “

“If institutional discipline works, how come the good Christian life, integrity and honesty are thrown to the dogs.

Reverend Agyekum called on his fellow pastors to stand firm, call a spade a spade, and open the eyes of their followers to God’s true doctrine to save the country.

He also advocated a multidimensional approach of all stakeholders, schools, families, religious organizations and state institutions to rethink the development of family life for the betterment of the future.
