Jill scott is an angel who returns to Earth to turn sadness into joy in high school in the upcoming movie Highway to Heaven, based on the 1980s television series of the same name. The TV movie features the three-time Grammy winner as Angela Stewart, a temporary guidance counselor.
In the trailer released Tuesday, Stewart says, “I’m not like the others. I’m an angel. I can see and do things that others cannot. After meeting Cody, a young student grieving the death of his mother, she brings happiness into her life.
The school principal said to her, “You are too beautiful to be true. Are you a unicorn? ”
Angela replies, “I’m actually a real angel,” and he laughs. Angela then said to him: “My boss has such big plans for you.”
Later in the trailer, she states that her mission is to “come to those who seek a miracle”.
Highway to Heaven premieres Saturday, November 6 at 8 p.m. ET / 12:00 a.m. CT on Lifetime.
