Police say suspects assaulted victim with knife point in Kasim Buduburam
Fourteen suspects linked to a number of thefts and other alleged crimes have been arrested across the country.
In the Greater Accra region, one Ebenezer Ahuma Djietror was arrested for allegedly robbing and injuring two people at gunpoint in the streets on August 11, 2021.
He was remanded in custody and brought to court.
Ebenezer Sasu and Emmanuel Quist were also arrested in connection with a theft incident in Kasim Buduburam. They allegedly attacked a victim with the point of a knife and stole his money.
According to the Central Region police, the suspects allegedly assaulted the victim and they are assisting the police in their investigations to arrest two other suspects.
In the Upper West region, a certain Samsendeen Nasil was arrested for allegedly robbing and raping a young woman on August 8, 2021 in a village near Wechau.
Some of the stolen items were found in the custody of the suspect upon his arrest and he was taken to court on allegations of theft and rape.
Also in the Upper West region, two shepherds were arrested for robbing and killing three people at their home in a village near Wa on August 11, 2021. They have been taken into custody as investigations continue. .
Two people, Gariba Mbonge, 20, and Sanda Abubakr, 20, were arrested in West Krachi district of Oti region for allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old boy. Knives and cell phones used to demand ransom were also found on the suspects.
Two suspects, Yahaya Dramani and Prince Twumasi were arrested in Kintampo in the Bono Est region for allegedly robbing a GH200 bank manager on August 11, 2021.
In Yeji, three suspects, Aremeyaw Mumuni, Philip Nana Aboagye and Ali Baba Mumuni were arrested by police for robbing a resident and a neighborhood store. They have been taken to court and are assisting the police in their investigations.
On August 13, 2021, eight people arrested a citizen in Mim and brought an Abudu Fataw to the police station. The suspect allegedly stole a motorcycle at gunpoint from eight people. The suspect assists the police in their investigations.
Three people were arrested in the community of Yurezi for allegedly robbing and raping a woman in the North East region. Police are currently interviewing suspects of the alleged crime.
