A prison guard has resigned after a video of her kissing a Scottish inmate went viral.
Kevin Hogg, an inmate at HMP Addiewell in West Lothian, Scotland, secretly set up a camera and kissed the guardian as she entered her cell.
According to the Daily Record, the babysitter was unaware she was being filmed and resigned after the hidden camera footage was revealed.
Hogg was serving a three-year sentence for traffic violations. He was reportedly released from prison last month.
Prison officials have called on police to investigate the footage, which was said to have been shot several weeks ago.
According to sources, the guard, who reportedly quit her job last week, felt “intimidated and pressured” by the situation.
According to an insider as reported by The Sun: “She was under a lot of pressure to do it … She quit last week after the video went viral, and her career is over.”
However, another prison source said: “She would have panicked if it was an unwanted approach, but she didn’t. The video clearly shows that she was not forced or frightened. She is an enthusiastic participant.
“The video was recorded a few weeks ago,” a source from the prison told the Daily Record.
“At first it was thought he did it to blackmail her, but the fact that the video went viral suggests he did it for bragging rights.”
