Acting Inspector General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare and his entourage at Bono National Police Headquarters and Regional Police Command on Sunday August 22, 2021 visited four police personnel who in the course of their duties have suffered varying degrees of injury and are now incapacitated.
The personnel visited were Corporal Issaka Akurugu of Bono RDF, Lance Corporal Bernard Sefa of Bono Regional Operation, Sunyani, Lance Corporal Anane Bosoka, of Regional MTTD Sunyani and Lance Corporal Collins Baah of Bono East Regional Visibility, Techiman.
The entourage visited the injured police officers in their different homes to find out how each of them was doing.
The Interim IGP further assured them of the police administration’s commitment to support them in any way possible to get them back on their feet. “Your pain is our pain,” he declared.
In a related development, Ag. IGP and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to Abesim’s chief and also showed compassion to the bereaved families whose three loved ones were murdered by suspect Richard Appiah, currently in custody to assist with the investigation .
The other members of the entourage were the Director General (DG) Research and Planning COP Mr. Paul Awini; DG Services, DCOP Mr. Adutwum Bediako; DG Well-being, DCOP Ms. Habiba Twumasi Sarpong; Regional Commander Bono, DCOP, Mr. Godfred Owusu Boateng and other senior officers in the region took turns sharing words of encouragement and reiterated the assurance of the police administration’s support to affected families. .
